Self-Control

I went out of town this weekend. Friday night we went to a WNBA game (WOOT!) and had a FREAKING blast. I also maintained some self-control (WOOT!). I had 1/2 a hot dog, a handful of nachos, a shared ice cream bar, and 1 beer. Not bad, if I do say so myself. Oh, I ate a hamburger, too. So yeah, overall, I’m pretty proud of myself. I haven’t calculated my points, yet, but I’m sure I used all of my WW flex points.

Yesterday we went to Sea World, and again, I managed to do pretty well. Beforehand, we had lunch at a restuarant that featured a light and fit menu. I had a cobb salad with 399 calories! At Sea World, I had a few bites of some Dippin’ Dots and drank plenty of water.

And then, we left the park and discovered my truck had been broken into. Oh yes. My laptop was gone. I cried. I was so pissed that some scum bag would do that. Stupid, stupid, stupid. After we filed a report with security, we hit the road to eat dinner. Normally, I would have said fuck it and eaten whatever I wanted to comfort myself. Instead, we ate at the same restaurant where we’d eaten lunch, and I ordered girlled salmon. Now, I did have some spinach dip and a piece of fried zucchini as an appetizer, but I’m proud of myself for maintaining my self-control and not using food to as a salve for my wounds.

Back on the WWagon

As promised, today I started back on WW online. As usual, with anything new (ish), I stuck to it like a, well, I’m no good at analogies. Let’s just say I did really good today!

Points Allowance: 22

Points Used: 26.5

Flex Points Remaining: 30.5

Exercise: that would be a big, fat NONE

I feel good. I’m a little hungry. I’m realizing that I’ve been eating way too much, even though I did WW for years, and I know what a portion is, all that’s been retired to the back of my brain apparently. So I had my measuring cups and scale out today, making sure I was getting everything right.

I need to save the rest of my Flex Points for this weekend, because we’re going to a WNBA game and it happens to be dollar beer and hot dog night (go figure), and we’ll be staying overnight in San Antonio and hitting Sea World the next day. I’m sure Mexican food will be involved in some way. Lord have mercy.
